You can use a voltmeter to display a narrowband sensor's output directly, no controller needed. With the wideband sensor, you have to have a controller to even drive the sensors, you can't just hook a gauge to the sensor (without a controller) and expect it to work. Once you have a controller to drive the sensor, one that provides some kind of driven scaled output, just about any voltage display device will provide a readable output. Did that help, or did I just confuse further? Craig |
nope we hit the same nail on that one you where just to vague before

So does anyone make a gauge like the AEM UEGO gauge?

kind of the xd16 for the lc1 does similiar but not quite the same. There is no other solution as simple as the AEM from what i have seen to date.

At SEMA this year, I talked to several different wideband manufacturers. Among those were Zeitronix, PLX, Innovate, and DynoJet. The only one that appears even close to the simplicity of the AEM, is the new DynoJet WideBand Commander 2 (http://dynojetwb2.com/), they are also coming out with a full sweep electrical gauge for this system.
http://dynojetwb2.com/images/products/wb2_l_2.jpg Zeitronix has also added a similar gauge display for their controller. Actually they have added two gauges, one displays AFR and LAMBDA, while the second displays AFR, Lambda, Boost, Vacuum and EGT, provided you have the sensors attached to the controller. Here is a pic of teh AFR/Lambda gauge. Check the other stuff out here - http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/Products.htm http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/ZR...400%5B1%5D.jpg The Innovate G2 gauge system, is similar, and they have the electric sweep gauge as well. You can check out the products here - http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/p...s/g2_gauge.php And here is a pic of the electric sweep gauges. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/i...ht_600_web.jpg The only PLX equivalent is the SM-AFR controller, which can be used with their DM5 gauge. http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm5/afrsmcombo/ Sorry for the big pics of these... http://www.plxdevices.com/products/d...o/dm5smafr.jpg I personally am very excited about the electric weep gauges from DynoJet and Innovate, purely from an asthetic viewpoint. We are dealers for PLX devices, and have experience with the Zeitronix ZT2 controller, but I am excited enough about the Dynojet WB2, that we'll probably become dealers for them as well. Craig |
