FMII with BEGI-S4 manifold???
Has anyone tried using the BEGI S4 turbo manifold on a FMII turbo kit? I know they both have a t25 flange but i don't know if fitment is an issue. I've looked for previous threads but couldn't really find the answer I'm looking for. If I over looked a thread with a decent answer would somebody post a link? I'm putting a '99 in my '92. From pictures I've seen it looks like the turbo placement is slightly lower in the engine bay on the BEGI mani. Thank for any answers!!

I can't answer yes or no because the older kits would interchange. But for the new kits, I'm pretty sure the FM manifold places the turbo higher than the Begi manifold. Downpipe fitment could still be an issue. Again, this is just for the newer kits. Some of the old kits could interchanged parts.
My hotside is just two pieces of aluminum and a few couplers. I did it for under 35 bucks. Intercooler piping is so easy to make I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor when buying a miata turbo kit or pieces of one, etc..
If I was in your position, instead of looking to interchange hardware fromm new kits, I'd call Begi and talk to them about a turbo kit. They can build you a downpipe specific to your engine swap and ship it with the rest of a kit that you can design to your liking. The Begi S3 is very popular, so is the S4. Since you're interested in the S4 I'd just go that route.

What I'm looking for is a quality 300+hp for daily use and closer to 400 hp when I wanna crank the boost up and play around... I really like the FMII kit... FM seems like they explain there kit in more detail and it seems like it would almost be an easier instAll and tune. I was on the BEGI web site earlier and the S4 with all the options of an FMII end up costing about the same.. Which standalone would you suggest for the BEGI and which one would be comprable to the nemesis?
