Default coolant reroute/bypass question

ok guys, ive been searching, just found people going back and forth and didnt really find what i was looking for . i took out the heater core. do i just block off that tube under the exhuast and then run the hose on the back of the motor that WAS going to the heater core up to the front of the motor into the hose on top up the rad? i gusse just cut the hose in half and put in a piece of pipe with a bung for the hose from the back of the motor? do i have this right?

Keep that hardline under the manifold. Run a piece of hose from the hardline to the back of the head where the core used to hook up. Essentially the same route just with the heatercore taken out of the circuit. If you totally remove that you will remove all coolant flow until your thermostat opens.
Pretty sure that's the case anyway.

get around the above mentioned problem by drilling a 1/4" hole in the thermostat.

block off the thermostat outlet at the front of the head with a freeze plug. run the water out of the back of the head with a 1.6 thermostat housing "cap" to the radiator. plug the mixing manifold with a freeze plug too.
