Coolant Reroute Required?

Will my NB erupt in a huge ball of flame or otherwise self destruct if I don't do a reroute? I mean, is this a MUST have or a NICE to have?
Background is I am planning on 8 PSI, intercooled on a T25, stock 99 motor with a Koyo rad, DD with an autocross or two, no track time.
If it's a nice to have, I may leave it for later. I have so much to do on the car right now, I'd like to do the minimum needed to get it done.
If everyone says it's a must have, I guess I will have to add it to the list.

It's not a must. Good tuning and no detonation is a must. Do that and you'll be fine.
But, I want to do a reroute pretty bad too. I just never get around to it. I'm going to do a DIY custom setup one day using a lot of factory parts from other mazda's.... If I ever do it, I'll post a little write up.

You don't need a reroute, they're good for track cars. I autocross my car and drive it hard on the street above 12 psi with a baby intercooler. You'll see some 220* temps if you really drive the **** out of it but that won't hurt anything and it will drop quickly.
Savington tracks his car than pretty much everyone on this board I think and i'm pretty sure he doesn't have the "race reroute" to the back of the head.

Good for track cars, not at all required. I've been turbo 22,000 miles without one, including a bunch of track days. Next time my motor is out of the car I'm going to do one.
+1 on what is said above. You can run 8 psi with no reroute on a stock radiator with no worries; I did this for awhile. With the Koyo you will be especially fine.

I'm paying $727 for a PnP Zoom3 to be capped at 8PSI. After I get it running, I'm going to try some 305's to see if I can bump it up a bit. The stock ECU should still be able to handle 305's, right?
Dude, if you do not know, don't let the fact that Autotune does not make one stop you. Just install a CAS and you too can have a parallel MS. There are at least two people on this board that know how to do it.
