Im doing a DIY WI, and i have a 150cc nozzle, 40psi sureflo pump. methanol safe fuel lines, and a tank just like the devils one kit comes with.. you guys think the 40 psi will be enuff? and what psi of boost should i set my system to come on at? I have an adjustable hobbs switch.

40 psi is way to low. If you are running 10 psi that means you have a 30 pdi effective pressure.

true story you need at least 70 psi, i would set spray activation to 4 psi for non IC and 6-7 for a IC'd car. remember most nozzles are spec'd at 70 psi devils own at 50 psi i think dunno need to look.

DAMN i guess i should have asked before i got the pump.. i hooked it all up last night and it puts out a nice spray.. I read an article i found on the web and it explained using a windshield washer pump, do they put out that much pressure?? Im gonna put a guage on this pump tonite and see exatly what kind of pressure it is realy capable of, it has a pressure limiting switch built in that is adjustable, so it cuts off the pump once it builds up pressure.. Maybe the switch is limited to 40 psi, but the pump is not.. i guess we shall see.

The Devils Own Nozzles are rated for flow at 100 psi.

ok, i tested my pump last night, i had a 100 psi guage on it, and it pegged it no problem.. so i guess the 40psi is just the limit of the switch that was on it. I think it should work ok for now, i can always replace it later.
