DSM T25 Turbo Help!

A mate from a local club is selling off a bunch of his DSM turbo stuff, and I was able to get a lot of it for pretty low cost.
I got a LC1 wideband, Intercooler and piping, 1G BOV and a Garrett T25 turbo all for about $350.
I know this is a "noob" question, but I can't seem to find any straight answers about the DSM turbo stuff. What flanges are on it? I've seen that it is a T2 flange, and I've seen that it is a T25 flange. but soemtimes I get confused because I feel like T25 is a flange, but it's also used as a model number in relation to this turbo.
I feel like an idiot, but does anyone know where I can just find all the specs on this turbo? (flanges, compression maps, all that good stuff)?
It seems to me that the FM mani should work fine, but I read somewhere that I was going to need to make a custom down pipe to make it work? Is that true?

I think the dsm turbos have a weird flange, not the standard 5 bolt flange as used with begi or fm parts. Post pics and I'll guide you.

Yes, from what I've read the turbine housing is a weird housing. "TD04" which would make the flanges goofy. So am I going to need an adaptor/custom flange welded? or how will I go about this?
I found DSM 1g 2G 16g 18g TD04 Turbo Flange Adapter 1 2" to T2 T25 T28 GT28RS GT2860RS | eBay but I'm not sure that's the best way to do this?

yeah DSM's had their own flanges for the 16g and 14b turbos, the flange adapter would would but dont cheap out on the manifold as the ebay ones are known to crack easily.
As for the downpipe if you can find a stock dsm one that would work out, though you'd have to get the rest of the exhaust made up. I had one of the DSM turbos on my 1.6, wasnt bad but if I could do it again I'd have got a better manifold and downpipe. (I paid 200 together for the ebay ones so I wasnt out a lot of cash)

the flange is a Mitsubishi TD05 flange. Square four bolt pattern. It will have a corresponding oxygen sensor housing that bolts up to it and a two bolt flange for your downpipe. I am not familiar with much Miata stuff but, I know the DSM stuff in other cars us generally pretty awkward. Not to mention that turbo is junk. They take zero abuse from my 15 years of experience of racing Mitsubishi's.

With that he'd just need the FM manifold
No DSM turbos are easy or cheap to adapt to a Miata reliably...take it from a guy who started with an Evo3 16g and now has a GReddy kit installed.
If you want to go the route of anything Mitsu flanged your only choice for not spending money twice for a manifold and downpipe is to make one/have one made the first time. The turbine inlet and outlet flanges are Mitsu-specific, so using a downpipe from any of the two main suppliers (FM, BEGI) won't work. A DSM O2 sensor housing will not do you any good as a starting point, either, as it'll point at the fender. And the only available mani/dp combo is a complete POS.
You could consider the T2-DSM adapter plate on a cast manifold, but then you are still looking at a custom downpipe. And you'd either have one more set of bolts to potentially fail on the hotside, or a connection that might not hold up to vibration and heat cycling if you weld the flange on.

This is a perfect example of why its stupid to build a setup around a turbo that "you got for cheap". You end up spending more and end up with a worse setup. Sell it, and start over with the proper parts that all work together and on your miata

Meep ok sorry, to clarify I haven't actually finalized the deal on any of this stuff, so I won't be needing to sell any of it.
I keep going back and forth on how I want to do all of this... But as of right now what I'm thinking is:
Get wideband and MS3x (pm'd brain already), learn to tune and get a solid tune set up.
Install a "starter" boost setup, and then gradually upgrade as I go.
Originally my "starter" setup was going to be the FM no-electronics kit (basically voodoo ii without voodoo) but I was looking to put something less expensive together..
Now I'm trying to decide between Begi-S and the Begi Shanghai-S system. I'll be adding a FMIC to it right off the bat, and running MS instead of the included fuel management (which I don't think works iwth a 99 anyways).
Has anyone had their chinacharger explode on them?

Sounds like a good plan. Those 3 are basically it for solid starter systems, and if it was me I'd probably lean towards the FM no-electronics kit if I were you.
Begi has a tendency of taking FOREVER to get you the parts, and they have had a few of their chinachargers fail.
