I don't have any built yet. I have around 45 of these boards. I don't know about price as I haven't paid for them yet, so I don't know what they cost me.

More to come.

Fra66L 07-16-2008 04:28 PM

Mmmmm...Tidy.

Nice one TravisR. Looking forward to this one..:)

Rafa 07-16-2008 05:27 PM

Let me know the price. I'm interested.

trito 07-16-2008 07:22 PM

I'm interested as well

sn95 07-16-2008 10:57 PM

I'm interested too

Underscores 07-18-2008 02:34 PM

i'm interested also.

i just had a coil fail on me yesterday while i was on the smog test dyno. the car passed the test...then one coil died while they were testing my gas cap seal. car sounds like a bmw/moto guzzi motorcycle now...

i'm running a '94 link ecu with a homemade harness/plate (no capacitors inline) and toyota 90919-02240 coils.

just thought i'd put this out there...reducing dwell on these toyota coils may be a smart idea.

alden77 07-28-2008 10:46 AM

I'm in too, if the price is within reasonable limits.
Alden

I must have put 10k miles on mine before on the stock ecu. This was 6 months ago before any talk of caps or reducing circuits. They were running fine when I sold the car, and probably still are.

I am also interested, hope to get the COPs running with the EMU.

Let me know the price (and shipping to Germany - I hope you could make this possible).

Thanks

Flippy02 07-30-2008 03:30 AM

update?

Mimime 07-30-2008 07:33 AM

I am interested, since I am using EMB...my COPS has been sitting around for months.

TravisR 08-01-2008 10:47 AM

Alright guys, its coming, My target date is the 16th of this month.

T

alden77 08-01-2008 09:14 PM

Is that a target date to have the boards ready to ship? If so, do you have a price projection?
Alden

TravisR 08-02-2008 01:13 AM

That's target date to ship, I know based on what I THINK the cost will be it'll be 10 bucks a board unpopulated and probably 20-25 populated. But don't even quote me on that. I'm not doing the assembly it’s all professionally done by a PCB assembly house, and I don't know what they are charging yet, nor do I even know what the PCB's cost yet. They are really taking their time getting me the invoices.

Change my status from interested to IN!

Thanks man :bigtu:

Flippy02 08-18-2008 11:36 PM

i'm in, let me know when

Fra66L 08-21-2008 05:49 AM

Any news yet Travis?

TravisR 08-21-2008 07:12 AM

The boards should be here today or tomorrow, I'll let you guys know when they arrive.

wb4pfj 08-21-2008 10:48 PM

Prices sound good. Put me down for one

TravisR 08-22-2008 04:03 PM

Ok, I have all the boards unpopulated. If anyone is good with a soldering iron, you can grab these off the website today for 15 bucks shipped to the continous U.S.A.

Now on the populated ones, I'm getting ran all over the place with getting someone to do these. I had a place locked into do it, and then they pretty much lost interest and tapered off. I appologize about it taking longer then I thought. The populated ones are comming, but I don't have a new timeline on them. Its just whenever I can find someone who feels willing to do them.

Sent you a PM.

Flippy02 08-25-2008 07:19 PM

I didn't see it on this post, but does the unpopulated board come with everything i need to put it together, or maybe at least a list of needed parts

TravisR 08-25-2008 11:30 PM

Unfortunately it doesn't. I can give you the schematic, but thats about it. Cyee here has said that he is a very experience electronics technician and wants to put together the boards. I haven't heard back from him however. Right now they will just be boards and I can send a file of the schematic. The boards were 10 bucks a piece to me, I figure 5 for an envelope and packing material as well as shipping, and I might break even. Unfortunately thats just the way it is until I find someone to assemble them.

I appologize greatly because I know I disappointed some people on this.

Flippy02 08-26-2008 01:48 AM

i'm greatly excited about this product, my dads an electronics technician, i'll talk to him tomorrow, about helping me put the boards together for myself, and i'll see if i want the unpopulated board or the populated board, but if possible could you link a schematic

I'm here. I'm reviewing the details now and I'll give an update soon.

TravisR 08-27-2008 05:11 PM

Ok this is the deal guys. Cyee has given us what I think is a fair price on these.
Cost will be at:

QTY 25 $45 a piece
QTY 20 $53.75 a piece
QTY 15 $70 a piece
QTY 10 $102.5 a piece

The problem is Cyee has to run 25 units a piece so the more we split the cost of these boards down into fewer and fewer people the expensive factor goes through the roof.

These boards are fully assembled and include 6 inch wire leads on each connection. All you have to do is wire it in. I'll start a group buy in the GB forum, in just a few minutes.

trito 08-27-2008 05:20 PM

quick question, does anything need to be change for it to work with the 1.6 or the 1.8L engines?

TravisR 08-27-2008 05:35 PM

Nope, they will both work without modification.

Flippy02 08-27-2008 05:49 PM

any deposits? i do hope at least 25 buy in, despite the recent resentment of other forums, may i suggest we open this group buy to other forums? that way we may get more buyers, and possibly reduce the price for everyone?

TravisR 08-27-2008 06:23 PM

Please spread the word to whoever you can find, its hard to get on m.net without them using the ban stick, so if someone whose in good standing with the moderators could spread it over there that would be great. They will have to log in here and letme know that they are on board as I'm not going to be posting a buy button until we know the qauntity.

I'll try it at m.net.

JimAtFSU 10-28-2008 02:01 AM

Finding out about this was nearly impossible, but I bought in.

r2t2 12-11-2008 08:15 PM

Is this still happening? If so, you can count me in for one of 'em...
