Default Ebay I/C "kit".

Yes I have searched.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190169536591

Looks like a great deal, too good to be true?

He has the specs on the FMIC listed on his other auctions, apparently 0.5psi drop at 15psi.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger, any reason I shouldn't? I think finding someone to TIG me the aluminum will cost me some cash, but it should be offset by the weight savings over SS.

The goal is 250-275whp.

why not, other people run the ebay I/C's and its just a pipe kit thrown in, be prepared to chop those pipes up A-team style though

When you consider what you get for the $$$, ya, that's a good deal. Is it the worlds best intercooler... probably not, but is it 90+% as good as anything else, probably.

Mark

PS - Pressure drop is not a function of PSI but rather air flow in CFM x PSI. If I were flowing 1 CFM at 15 PSI I would probably lose 0 PSI across the intercooler.

yeah, none of those "kits" are a bolt on affair for ANY car. They just throw in some pipes and you buy it hoping there are enough pieces to make it work lol.

I used almost the same exact kit on mine and the only other thing i really needed was a couple extra 90* couplers to make some tight bends. The IC isnt the best in the world, like he said above, but its definitely not too shabby either and it fit perfectly.
