I just clocked mine yesterday and today I cut the useless metal I didnt need off the wastegate bracket. All that's left is to drill and tap the compressor housing and weld the wastegate flapper closed. Hopefully that will all be done on Monday morning.

I was actually going to start another thread about this, but I'll just throw it out there in this one first. Can anyone confirm the oil feed thread size for this turbo? I think Phil has the same one, so hopefully he sees this and can confirm.

I'm going to buy a set of oil feed/drain lines, as well as coolant lines from Abe, but I need to make sure I'm getting the right sizes.

Coolant ports are definitely 1/4" NPT, and the drain flange has a 1.75" spacing for the bolts. Now I just need to find out what kind of fitting I need for the oil feed. Its smaller than 1/4" NPT, and I'm not sure if its a AN fitting or not. Anyone?

the price is right on this turbo, will it be a good fit for my goal of 230-250whp on a 1.8?

how should it spool?

You've got a t3 pattern 1.8 manifold?

DrewLGT 06-13-2010 07:53 PM

My manifold hasn't been built yet....

V Band FTW.

DrewLGT 06-13-2010 08:47 PM

I'd love to do a vband mani, but I'm not that baller.
