Default EFR Oil Inlet Thread Size

I have a few pairs of tubing benders from my instrumentation days and would much rather have stainless tubing than expensive and bulky AN fittings and hose for my oil and coolant lines.

Since the EFR turbos have the oil restrictor built into the bearing housing, I see no reason why I can’t swap out the included 4AN fitting for a stainless compression fitting, but no where in the documentation can I find what size thread the AN adapter for the oil feed is. The closest I could find was an M12 thread but I do not know what thread pitch so I can at least adapt it to female NPT to accept the tubing fitting. I plan to use 1/4” stainless line tapped off of the VVT line where they are joined on the back of the head, and the same 1/4” tubing for the coolant lines, using M14x1.5 to female 1/4 NPT adapters and a tapped front block off plate and water pump inlet. The oil drain will likely be a basic hose over barb setup as I do not have 5/8” tubing benders and am not sure 1/2” tubing will provide a sufficient oil drain.

I have pondered the idea of 3/8” line since the oil feed will be roughly 18” or more from where I am tapping off of, but I live in Houston and am already using a BE 72psi pump so I am sure it will not be an issue.

If I’m chasing something not worth the effort over using regular AN lines, please do not hesitate to let me know. I do think however that stainless tubing would look way cooler and route much more cleanly.

They do look rad...one thing I became paranoid of, was vibration induced cracking. So I ended up using short lengths of braided line in conjunction with the hard lines. way too complicated when done IMO. most recently I just used soft lines...

The EFR training material states the following:
An oil inlet fitting has been provided that allows easy connection to a
-4AN line. This fitting has been pre-installed into the bearing housing
oil inlet port (M12x1.5) and is sealed with both a washer and an o-ring.
