Default EWG overkill for 2560?

I have decided to go turbo after being set on going supercharged.

I like to do things once, and do them right, at the same time, I also do not like spending money when it is not needed.

The car will have;

ARtech manfold, 3 inch downpipe/exhaust.
GT2560r
MBC

Will be used for

Street/Track/Auto-x

My main concern with a IWG is boost creep and overshoot and secondly spool. Being my main source of transportation, reliability is a key factor.

I prefer an external gate, it's really all preference until you get over a certain level of power/boost. A lot of members on there have no issues with IWG.

There have been a lot of reports of boost creep on that turbo. But most have mitigated it with lots of porting and open wg exits in the downpipe.

I like the ewg so I welded up my internal gate on my 2876.

in terms of power I plan to start off at around 200whp, then once I have a 6speed and built motor max out the capabilities of the turbo with still a safe margin for track so im guessing 250whpish.

You don't need one. But having one never hurts. Its really up to you at this point, since your power levels are doable both ways.

this guy right here has GT2560R....got wastegate ported and all, and still creeps.

if youre gonna get some new nice exhaust stuff made from ARTech just spend a few hundred more and get EWG IMO

I'm having to send my stuff back to him now, to get it modded for EWG

it's LOW boost where you'll have the problems... so it sounds like you have your answer above.
