I just bought an exhaust cam that i plan on installing in my 99 NA. My question is will this be beneficial once i go turbo? Should i change the 197.5 angle to reduce overlap?

 

yes, you will gain power with turbo as well

adjusting the angle - no idea, in theory, yes, in practice ???

 

I did the mod today, it feels a little better no a huge difference if any. 2 things that might have impacted the results 1. its the first mod on the car so I still have a very restricted exhaust (99 miata are known for bad stock exhaust system) 2. I did not drill the can I just counted 21 teeth 195.6*. I hope this mod will show much larger results once i go turbo

 

I didn't feel any difference when I did the mod on my 96 head N/A.
But exhintake + 2.5" exhaust + megasquirt gained me like 9whp (from 94whp to 103whp! WHOA!!!!11lol)

I would do again it if I had a 99-00 cam laying around.

 

I'm diffidently keeping my eye open for megasquirt or a any trubo parts (2560), thanks for the reply soviet
