I can hook up my MBC exactly the same way using the top nipple on the wastegate?

I currently have my MBC in the middle of the boost signal line going to the bottom nipple on the wastegate, and the top nipple is open to atmosphere (no fitting present).

Edit: My boost signal source comes from my post intercooler charge pipe, via a 1/8 NPT fitting tapped into the pipe.
