That's what I thought. It uses a standard size for the manifold side, but the turbine side is a funky nissan part.
I suggested going the 5 bolt route because: -the 5 bolt turbine housings are more common than rats in NYC -the wheel that fits in them is very common across a broad range of turbos -the housing can be machined to fit bigger wheels if you want. This is what I did when I upgraded to a stage 3 wheel. Beware of the difference between 5 bolt ford and 5 bold mercedes/amg. They look the same but bolt up differently. You basically have to pick one and stick with it. Alternatively, make your DP in two parts- one that attaches to the turbine and then to the main section of the DP. Of course this requires just as much (nope, twice as much) welding as making a DP in the first place but maybe wastes less pipe or something. Actually scratch that last part, it's a stupid idea. |
