Garrett T3, wich oil and water fittings [newbie]

Hi, I'm new in FI world:eek5:

I have a garrett T3 60 trim from a Merkur/SVO..
I need to buy oil lines and water lines, as it's water cooled.
It doesn't come with oil flanges, so I'll need them too.
Who can help me to find which water threads has my turbo, for banjo bolts?

Where I can buy online all fittings and hoses that I'll need?
Links?

thanks!

compliments for the forum, it's a great thing:bigtu:

Just so you know... I've run the exact same turbo without water lines for like 28k miles now. No issues. Just don't beat on the turbo really hard and then shut down, eventually it'll cook the oil passages and clog things up.

anplumbing.com Should have it all.

the inlet is the 1/8" threaded hole with two bolt holes beside it.

the drain (due south), the the square hole with two bolt holes on either side.

the water passages (no direction) are on either side.

So here is what I know now:
- oil feed is 1/8" NPT
- oil discarge, I need a flange easilly found
- water thread is M16x1,5mm; metric

I'll post my shopping list here to see if it will be right!

thanks, I love this forum ;)

im about to be in the same boat. I have no problem finding oil inlet/drain flanges for between $15 and $25 dollars.

Ok, exactly same boat!

Oil drain hose and fittings are OK now.

So, I not understand NPT, JIG, meters... unit measures very well, and this is what I need:

I need 1 meter of feed line. The original fitting in car (oil pressure sensor) is a M12x1,5mm. I can put there a distribution block (Tee) and plug there the turbo water line. But I know that turbo oil feed thread is 1/8NPT thread. So which fittings and hose I need? It's necessary a steel braided line for the oil feed?

And coolant threads are 16mm... I need to take coolant from a 5/8" hose in throttle body heater. So I need a adapter from that 5/8" hose to a standard coolant turbo hose, and then a banjo with that 16mm thread with right diameter for that standard coolant turbo hose.
But I can't find them in big places like atpturbo.com...:eek4:

-'95, they didn't ditch the feed port on the driver's side until '96/'97.

great!

told ja!

Doppelgänger 09-28-2007 09:09 AM

so wait... then where is the feed for a 99???

You have to get a 1/8 BSP to 1/8 NPT adapter. BEGI sells them, not sure who else off the top of my head. You use the adapter to tee off the oil pressure sender, it's easy to get at if you take the wheel off and reach through the fender well.
BEGI has it or this link has it http://www.stealthmodeperformance.co...blockfit.shtml or you can contact Nester here on the forum at one time he could get them cheaper than that so he said.

it enter, but looks like the thread is off of a little...
maybe is because the turbine is rebuilt and painted, and the paint make the fitting harder to bolt-on?
I'm scared of damage the thread:nono:

Turbine is TB0344, like says a label on turbo (rebuilder wrote it), from a merkur xr4ti... compressor is .60 a/r
the strange thing is that the turbine housing has a "T" stamp on it, but...(Turbonetics:bigtu:)

this is the action:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280146958493

tell me something:sadwavey: is 1/8 NPT or other?
drain is for sure 50.8mm bolt to bolt...

thanks

edit... I made a mistake... I was trying to bolt-on a M10x1 fitting... they seem the same thread, but they're different:gay:
1/8 NPT fitted now, and it works:bigtu:.
