German-Newbie-MiataTurbo-attempt

Hi Guys,
im from germany and currently i am building my first miataturbo with small Steps.
First step was buying a used MS PNP Pro (ebay US) a Bosch 4,9 Wideband with Spartan2 Controller and an open Airtemp Sensor of a 320d (BMW).
Next step will be:
-dyno the oem power
-learning to programm the MS and reproduce or exceed the standard power
-turbocharging the car without opening the engine (small turbo and power up to 200rwhp) hoping to improve the MS-programming skills
-Open the engine and looking for a higher HP-output
My Car: MX-5 Silver Blues 1,9 VVT Widebody by Postert Hero 5

Ausgezeichnet!

That is the first Miata I have ever seen that looks good on 17 inch wheels. It's a very clean and beautifully done car.

Wilkommen und viel gluck!

ridethecliche 01-20-2017 06:10 PM

Woah. I really like that!

Lexzar 01-21-2017 03:19 PM

Oh my. The 918 exhaust.

Japanraider 01-21-2017 03:32 PM

yeah i know, it comes with the bodykit.... thought i change the rear one to a big diffusor with only one exhaust endpipe

Lexzar 01-21-2017 03:36 PM

I may be crazy, but it kind of pulls it off. Almost. It is missing something.

Japanraider 01-21-2017 03:43 PM

any suggestions with the rear?:eggplant:

Vincentmiata 01-21-2017 03:44 PM

It was also a 'popular' bodykit a while ago here in the Netherlands. There are still a few driving with this kit.

Look for a TD04L from a WRX, small turbo very good spool and there are lots for sale for cheap

How do you get away with emissions / inspection in Germany? Aren't they very strict?
Car is looking great btw!

Japanraider 01-21-2017 04:03 PM

there are some tricks in germany to pass those inspections :) but at the end i am trying to do the build roadlegal

HHammerly 01-21-2017 04:50 PM

I want to se an in car video of you running it at the Nurburgring 👍

Japanraider 01-22-2017 03:33 AM

i actually have one video where i was driving my old miata at the nürburgring, but at 12-14 minutes per lap it is very slow :P

HHammerly 01-22-2017 09:08 AM

I would love to take my turbo NB there, did 6 laps in a 11 min pace on a swift from rent4ring in 2015 and loved it!
good luck on your build

My dream is to take my car on a boat to Italy and do a eurotrip. Costs 3000$ both ways just for the boat though.

Japanraider 01-22-2017 10:40 AM

It would be cheaper to buy a NA or NB here in Germany and drive this one...

Japanraider 01-25-2017 03:17 AM

Update: shipping took 8 days, but it is finally here. My MSPNP PRO. Are there any ways to check if eversthing is fine without plugging it in into the car? (As i bought it used from an ebay.com seller)
I also ordered a "PIERBURG Ventil Ladedruckregelung 7.01024.02.0 " Electronic Boost Control Valve. I hope that it will work with my Megasquirt

psyber_0ptix 01-25-2017 08:27 AM

Just popping into google search looks like it's similar to the EBC that comes on the internally gated BorgWarner EFR's

Gross Gerau!

Ich bin regelmaessig (1-5 Mal pro Monat) in Mainz.
