GT2560R thats actually a GT2860R… ??
Hi All,
Im looking at buying a Garrett Turbo which states its a GT2560R on its data plate… however it has the 707160-5 CHRA, which would actually make it the GT2860R with the the 53.9mm turbine, and not the GT25..
Has anyone come across this before?
Thanks in advance

Cheers - thanks very much!
Yeah, they do have a manufacturing facility in Japan by the look of it.
Bit of an odd one really.. Weird its labeled at GT2560R when clearly it is a GT28 series
Apparently from the CHRA number (-5) it is the Garrett turbo model (well atleast CHRA) made for the RB26DETT Group A touring car from back in the 1990’s.. Also known as the Bathurst Spec Garrett in GT-R circles…

the chra carrier should be same, but different sized compressor and turbine wheels. I have a chra in the garage somewhere for a 2860r that is brand new, but has a damaged compressor and turbine from a shipping mishap. Keeping it for a spare rebuild for my 2560r, but I'd need to get the correct sized wheels
