I had no idea you wanted to sell it.

Maybe the high price of gas has something to do with it.

I Say as FM is concerned they should down their prices , Bellengineering ,I like the owner mr.bell he is very helpful with his vast knowledge of turbo wisdom, and their manifolds kick culo for the price, with the way begi is moving up with their business, I'd say fm is missing them bad.

Flyin' Protege failed because at the time Protege Owners weren't willing to cough up the bucks to by what FM produced. I was a Protege5 owner at the time (great car by the way) and all over the Protege boards people were making big talk that if a kit were brought to market they'd be all over. A lot of big talk, and obviously nobody followed through.

The car was too new and too expensive for the average enthusiast to spend $5K and turbo it. Very different animal than the now 16 year old Miata, and a very different type of owner.

On top of that Mazda discontinued the Protege5, and came out with the Mazda3. So a pretty short run of the 2.0l (01-03.5). The Mazdaspeed likely had little to do with the failure of Flyin' Protege. The market simply wasn't there, now maybe. I see more DIY stuff happening in the Protege circles, and atleast a couple of small outfits putting out FI solutions.

I like the Miata community better, less talk about big *** stereos and more wine and cheese parties

My problem with FM, and it really isn't a problem with FM. The problem is the rabid fanboys that seem to be all over miata.net and my local Miata club. Where FM is THE best. They build the BEST turbo kit (oh, that's a bell kit?), the BEST springs (that's why they just changed them), the BEST sway bars (identical to the JR Bars), the BEST STB (happens to look a LOT like the greddy bar), the best clutch setup (over priced ACT and queer looking flywheel) ... it's a trend. While many people will say that FM has the best this or that, FM didn't build any of it. At best they maybe speced it, but even in that the company has indirectly admitted they there were flaws by doing a redesign.

From my dealings with Flyin' Miata I have come away with a good feeling. And despite the damage many of the fanboys have done, I think FM has done an amazing amount of good for the Miata community. The problem is that lots build them up to be THE source for everything Miata, when they make a mistake (it happens to the best) people are ready to hang them because some 'tard on Miata.net said they were the authority.

When everyone talks about the signal to noise ratio on Miata.net, make no mistake FM (Keith specifically) more often than not adds to the signal, it's all the fanboys making noise.

However I think that FM didn't publically handle the spit with bell properly. How can they be critical of a product that they were happy to sell until recently? Same with BRP, they flogged the Coldside SC until a falling out with the designer. Now it's crap.

So much drama. I think all of the dick waving has a lot to do with the fact that we are all driving chick cars, and inside we are all gay hairdressers.

I'm a *****, I'll go anywhere for a deal or information.

I relaize this is wildly off topic, but ya suck it up.

Jesus, this wasn't specifically for you I just used your post to start a mini-rant.

I believe he makes jigs for all his custom manifolds. He should be able to duplicate it without issue. I'll post up pics once its mocked up/done.

I agree 100% I like some of the products but the "best" is up to the customer. I think they are overpriced (for my budget) and only a few parts are FM parts.
