Default NPT Thread Pitch

Can I buy this drain flange (1/2 NPT) and then buy any 1/2 male NPT --> 1/2" slip on fitting @ Ace Hardware and have them fit together correctly?

Will all 1/2" NPT have the same thread pitch and should fit together?
