A friend of mine wants $400 for his. Its currently in his 240 so I know it works. This sounds a bit high to me but I have alot to learn. I did search before posting this. Did not find much info. Thanks in advance

Is it a s13 t25 or a s14/s15 t25? Makes all the difference in the world. The s14/s15 ones are bigger and closer to a 2560 in size, and are actually worth $400. The small ones are worth about $150-$200.

My friend gave me his for a beer, and it was in perfect shape.

It was a World Wide Stout but its still a beer.

I would un-friend this friend.

Okay, How would I identify if it's from an s14-s15? He's saying only s13's came with t25's? Kind of a bummer if he's being shitty..

If he says "t28" have him remove the compressor and measure the diameter on the wheel. If it's 60mm, then he's right. A standard t25 compressor will only be held on with a snap ring. A t28 compressor will have 6 bolts on the back of the compressor that fasten it to a place. The plate is then held on to the chra with a snap ring.

I got my s13 t25 for free. The sr20 guys basically throw them away, but realistically one in good condition can go for up to $200, although typically less.

It sounds to me like your "friend" is trying to fund his turbo upgrade by selling you his old t25 for what the upgrade is going to cost him.

I bought 2 sr20 t25's on Craigslist, complete for $40. They were pretty muffed up, but I could build 1 good one out of 2.

That's the plan. I've been a member here for a while. I just haven't been an active member. Next couple of weeks Imma lurk and pick up some knowledge. I've been neglecting "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell too.Turbo is now a priority

Just adding another data point, I paid less than $100/each for both of mine. The 2nd one had a broken bolt in the exhaust housing but I just wanted the CHRA as a spare.
