Default How much power/spool with..

While my megasquirt remains unresponsive i was wondering what kind of power im going to be getting with my turbo set up.
*Greddy TD04-15c turbo (Different compressor wheel than 15g)
Greddy cast manifold
Custom 2 1/2" downpipe swages to 3" all the way back
Magnaflow 3" high flow cat
Summit racing 3" turbo muffler
trust FMIC (like saab)
rx7 460cc injectors
MAF delete
Turbo blankey
2 1/4" intercooler piping

Still to be added is devils own WI

Anyone have a guess on what kind of power/spool rpms id be makin with and without WI

Thanks ya

15c probably flows more at a slower speed and becomes inefficent sooner than the g. Or its the other way around. In the first case, you would get boost a tad sooner and make a tad less power than greddy guys. Probably wont be all that noticable. You are thinking about this way too much. Water injection might improve spool a tad and increase efficiency

WI simply enables you to run more timing and leaner afr's....in itself it doesnt increase/decrease any significant power.

I was all set to leave a smartass reply to your n00b question, but your setup is a lot like mine so I'm curious about your results too. A lot of us Greddy guys are making in the 230-250 range hp wise, you will probably be in there.

TD04H-15G (IND)1.625 (EXD)2.187 (TRIM)55
TD04H-15C (IND)1.654 (EXD)2.187 (TRIM)57

If my quick mental math is correct, you'll run out of fuel at by 250whp at 80% duty cycle on stock fuel pressure. An upgrade to 550's should let you realize the limits of the turbo, but I think you're pretty much there. A 2% trim advantage isn't going to be noticeable over a regular 15G and they run out of grunt in the 16psi/250whp range.

Spool will be about 500rpm behind a comparable GT2560 which is the closest I can imagine this to be to a Garrett model. The Greddy manifold is the limiting factor to spool in your setup, so a good guess might be starting to spool at around 3000rpm (or a pinch later), with full spool by 4500rpm. You'll probably run out of grunt in the 15psi range.

A little water injection never hurt anybody, but my reading indicates 18psi is the absolute upper limit based on turbine RPM reaching ludicrous speed.

Being a 1.6, I see about 220whp@14psi for that setup depending on how aggressive you get with timing.

You're right Koto, I'll go another 15whp as he's got access to 92octane... but it's still basically a Greddy turbo/mani on a 1.6. The bigger exhaust will help a bunch. In the end, it'll come down to how much timing he wants to run.

235whp@15psi seems doable with a fully tunable ECU on that turbo/mani combo.
