I struck a deal with a guy today on a set of nice used -6an and -4an turbo lines , they are in really good shape, he said to clean them out before use to clear out any old oil resisdue, I forgot to ask how to do that, any special way this has to be done, the fittings on my turbo are as followed - 6an for water and oil return lines and -4an for oil feed.:bigtu:

RicanmiataRacer 09-13-2006 06:22 PM

i still may be intreasted in the drain line , what do you have?

If the lines are stainless suggest lacquor thinner as is better than gas or mineral spirits. Also use it every year or two to slosh out the intercooler to restore efficiency.

RicanmiataRacer 09-13-2006 08:27 PM

where would you find that?

Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, any hardware or paint store, etc.
