How Would You Go About Cleaning Used Ss Turbo Lines
2 Attachment(s)
I struck a deal with a guy today on a set of nice used -6an and -4an turbo lines , they are in really good shape, he said to clean them out before use to clear out any old oil resisdue, I forgot to ask how to do that, any special way this has to be done, the fittings on my turbo are as followed - 6an for water and oil return lines and -4an for oil feed.:bigtu:
gasoline or mineral spirits worked for me
ok I will try that
and compressed air after the rinse
I got these lines for 30 bucks
the fittings costed me 80 for water and oil, thats crazy shit
I got them here http://www.customsteel.com/sr20/html..._fittings.html |
So you already have the return line? I was going to PM you today about one.... Sorry I wasn't faster....

i still may be intreasted in the drain line , what do you have?
If the lines are stainless suggest lacquor thinner as is better than gas or mineral spirits. Also use it every year or two to slosh out the intercooler to restore efficiency.
where would you find that?
Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, any hardware or paint store, etc.
