Although the bumpers haven't warmed up on me, they do match the rest of the kit. I'm in the "I hate those taillights" club, but more for functionality. Maybe you paid big bucks and yours work, but I always get behind turds with these, and can't see when they are actually on the brake. This is the worst with trucks -who in the hell puts euro lights on trucks?- /slam/rant

Otherwise, I love the stance. Your suspension setup works well with the sideskirts, and gives it a nice flat look. In other words, as a package, the car is CLEAN. It's odd how you can not like the parts, but like the result.

Would like to see with more intercooler.

A048s. I cant use that shit on the streets. loud as fck and wear like hell. They become expensive that way with me being a budgeter in college too. I daily a corolla S and drive this on weekends and when I just feel like it, but I still like my comps to last. All I use the car for now is autocross. Im starting on roadcourses on the last weekend of this month with some SCCA guys.

Never got pics of support for OBX?? Did you PM them to me? I don't have anything in the inbox!

Thanks!

Sam Amporful 03-12-2009 12:47 AM

albumleaf 03-12-2009 03:44 PM

Go to my first page on this thread and look at the turbo pics. I'll just explain it to you. the bar on the left is bolted down under the bottom left locknut on the turbo flange. the left one is bolted down under the right top lockut on the turbo flange. make sure you bolt them using the turbo flange and not the manifold side. That will do nothing and wont be holding the turbo, so all the stress will still be there. Remember that the shorter the bracket, the stiffer it'll be. the stiffer the bracket, the better it'll hold.

personally, i liek the overall look. would look killer with just some smoked out tails, but you did it very well.

i have the same kit, different front bumper.. dont hate, it came on the car.

locomonkeyboricua 04-01-2009 03:52 PM

how far back does the front lip on the bumper go? it seems like it almost would touch the condenser? i like how you say it help cool the car down.. i am all about form and function.. i would just buy the front bumper to get better air flow and cooling.

Turbo_4 04-01-2009 03:57 PM

Ditch or tint the tails, otherwise looks great.

I removed my a/c, but before i did the bumper fit just fine. I had to trim it alittle for the I/C though

No offense, but I hope you didn't pay him.

Sam Amporful 04-03-2009 04:35 AM

no, it was free. He said he wanted to take a few pics and if i liked them I could pay for more

albumleaf 04-03-2009 10:51 AM

Hah, "pro" indeed.

locomonkeyboricua 04-03-2009 02:48 PM

do you think you are going to cut more of the bumper when you get the bigger IC? i am looking at the same bumper but i dont want cheap fiberglass because i know i will break it. Is your made from that new dura flex stuff or is yours fiberglass? Did you install it your self ? if so how easy of a fit was it? how much did you pay for the kit?

Cmon now, its not "bad". He said he was professional, but still somewhat amateur.

nah, the intercooler on it is pretty wide. It lacks length. Clearance shouldnt be a problem. It is some type of flexible material within reason. It will break if overstressed. I think it is that new duraflex. Yes I installed it and fitment wasnt an issue. All you need to do is drill mounting holes onto the bumper and car and it becomes "bolt on". The kit was $500 shipped if I remember
