I happen to love my HKS SSQ and it will chirp all day long. :eek4:

Different strokes. I'm getting annoyed at my loud cars. The EWG on my Forester just bothers me now. Time to plumb it into the DP.

Every time I hear a funky BOV especially on a DSM or WRX, I think, "Dude should have spent money on a bigger turbo, or something that actually makes the car faster".

OK now in response to some of the things said, one blow off valves are not ricey, i mean ricey means what that its tries to be a performance car from japan? Look at what freaking forum your in, we drive freaking little japanese Jelly beans! so until you switch it up to a saturn sky or a Fiero or something just keep quite.

Then to the comment about spending money on something to make your car go faster, last time i checked your not going to save any money recirc. then grabing a cheap noise maker. Just be thankful the put some thought into protecting the turbo then just going big and hurting something like you might suggest.

And as for the one about chirpy cars being slow that was just retarded and it deserves a freaking Judo chop.............. Word to yo Mothas!!!!!!

Just stating what I have seen in my experience. You have a chirpy car thats fast?

The Type R is not chirpy at all. We have one on the red turbo Vr6 Gti.

Now all you need is a turbo that requires that much blowin' off.

plus all the hot air I'm capable of...

44lb compressor? Big for a Miata I guess. :)

70 A/R, that's what my buddy runs on his turbo-chicken. that is a lot of turbo for a 1.8L, but to each his own.

I was a "GT" early adopter. Back when there were only a few true GT series turbos. No mix and match with the old T series and a fancy new name. New CHRA, new turbine, new compressor, new housings... old skool.

well its not as much turbo as you would think. Its a GT2540R. It utilizes a GT series GT28RS based turbine wheel and a 43lb compressor wheel ( if my memory serves ). Its good for just over 400whp...the wheels are a little bit of a mismatch but it does spool fast for the amount of power that its capable of.

cheap bov > loud ricer garb.

bzzt ;)

GT2876R
it's a little much compressor for the disco potato hotside (.64 A/R in my case) but it seems to work pretty well if a little laggy.
