Okay notice that circle on the inside? That won't work with the HKS manifold right? It looks as if i'll need to somehow get it machined until the circle so it's all flat and does this look like a T25 flange?

that ALMOST looks like a T3 flange...get a shot of the back of the turbine housing and I can tell you. OK after looking closer that appears to be a T3 since the center section of the turbo is of a T3 style...looks like a chrysler style inlet on the turbine.

I think its the wierd volvo t3 inlet. Its t3, but that opening requires a wierd gasket. I think people have had success having the wierdness milled out so it fits normally.

Yup...its a Volvo T3.

Braineack 11-20-2006 02:44 PM

volvo T3, sorry! But yeah, you can machine it flat.

F20turbo 11-20-2006 02:47 PM

damn, I didnt even know volvo used that odd inlet...you learn something every day.

bripab007 11-20-2006 03:04 PM

You can machine it flat (what I did with mine) or I believe you can purchase an adapter from ATP Turbo now.

Would this work with a HKS manifold? 1.8 of course

bripab007 11-20-2006 11:23 PM

If the HKS manifold uses a T3 flange and you machine your Volvo turbine flange down, then the answer is "yes."

Shit the HKS is a T25 AGH!!!!!!!!!! is there anyway to use those adapter things?

Braineack 11-21-2006 08:47 AM

yeah but your turbo will sit curiously higher.

Or you could just weld a flange straight onto the exisiting, which will raise it about 1/2" or so. Probably easiest to just get a T2 turbo.
