Cool Turbo project starts: T25 for a NB '99. What trim/ar?

This forum had a bad influence over me...so I have decided to go turbocharged for my NB 1.8 '99 european version (italian)! (probably the first and ony turbocharged miata in italy! )

My goal is around 175-185 rwhp (200 flywheel?) with very fast spool and minimal lag, for supercharged-like response... with the cheapest possible setup.

Reading here and there, my perfect turbo should be the garrett T25.
Will the nissan 300zx t25 (the seller says: .48 a/r compressor and .63 a/r turbine) match my needs? I have found a good one really cheap and will rebuilt it with few bucks...What trim is it? where I can find the flow maps?

I have a e-manage blue with boomslang harness (already up and running), gm 2 bar map sensor, lc-1 wideband for tuning, supra 7m-ge 320cc injectors and planning to buy an afpr and make the o2 clamp (Do I need it?)
Is it enought for 175-180 rwhp?

My plan is to buy a begi manifold and downpipe, ebay turbo oil and water lines, used intercooler (lancia delta intercooler are an easy find here), fabricate my own piping and... what else?

Looks like your already well ahead of me, just about to buy my t25.

Since i'm running a 99 1.9 UK car mind if i ask you a few questions about the e-manage via e-mail or msn since i don't want to spam your thread.

unless you are going to have BEGI build you a custom dp, the 300zx will not bolt up.

t25: gt2554r. a few cars run these OEM. mazdaspeed protege for one.

do some research, i'm certain europe has more turbo vehicles to lift parts from than we do here in the states. know your turbo models. garrett's website is very helpful. BEGI also does T3 manifolds and downpipes.

Well, once upon a time, in italy there were many turbo cars: Lancia Delta integrale (garrett t3), cosworths, and many small fiat turbo (uno, punto ecc...with garrett t2)
They are disappearing now, because of the growing price of gasoline (here is 1,4 euro/liter! more than 3 times the price you pay in USA!), insurance and government fare.
So, ther are very very few gasoline turbo cars, now... most of the turbo cars are diesel... much cheaper to mantain, and very powerful....
So, there are few turbo suited for a gasoline engine, and founding a little one like the t25 is not so easy...

The wastgate flange of the t25 is different from the gt25 one?

I have a T25 off a Nissan 300ZX, the wastegate flange is an odd 4 bolt.
I used an HKS manifold.

It is pretty easy to make a flange using some 1/2" stock, providing you have a mig/tig and some good torches/plasma cutter for cutting...

It's a great little turbo, spools under 3k(IIRC, probably under 2K) but runs out of steam over 6K and 12 psi...(I have a fix in the works--Thanks to KFJ)

Thanks Jefe, I have a mig welder and shouldn't be a problem to find the right wastegate flange. (I have just seen a flange kit on ebay for the 300zx t25)

Do you know what are the trim value of the 300zx t25 turbo? 55? 60?

I tought that the turbo that meet my needs should be: turbine 48 a/r and compressor 63 a/r... (good response from the small turbine housing and better flow at high rpm from the slightly larger compressor housing...)
But with that turbo I have the opposite situation.... so what can I expect?
