intercooler type
I'm interested in replacing my intercooler rx7 turbo 2 unit with one off ebay for around 70 dollars.
so far I've seen two of the same size, one is bar and plate, the other tube and fin. I'm in the air on what I should go for. Was figuring the bar plate won't be as effective as the tube and fin till higher levels of pressure. But overall should be a great upgrade compared my current intercooler
T3 60 turbo, 1 bar of boost currently, probably more pre intercooler.

Tube & fin- or search "delta fin". Jason has a good post on here somewhere about the tube&fin dropping temps as good as (if not better than) the bar & plate, while allowing far more air flow past the IC to the other exchangers behind it.

bar/plate- physically stronger, more flow, more efficient at high flow/pressure.
tube/fin- physically weaker, more efficient at lower pressure/flow.
There are a bunch of threads on this. Good discussions in them too. Check em out.
PS: I prefer tube/fin fwiw
