I have a problem with my miata stalling intermittently. It only does it when it's cold, and it does it within 200-300 feet after I start driving down the road. It will start up fine, it will be driving fine, then just die. Then I have to crank it for about a minute, then it runs rough, smooths out and then drives perfect. But it does it maybe once out of every 6 cold starts. It's as if the fuel pump just quits or there is a bunch of air in the fuel line. My turbo system is very basic, MSD box for ignition control, rising rate regulator, BEGI, and stock fuel pump. Only running 6 pounds of boost. Any ideas what could be going on?
Check for any loose plugs or grounds. My AFM wiggled loose one time, and last week my coil plug came off. (My tach was CRAZY and it ran like ****.) If something is loose it might pop on and off by itself, happened to me before.
Sounds like a symptom I had when my CAS was goin bad. Then one day it just kept on dying. Wouldn't start. Apparently the transistor in the CAS goes bad and it either sends out a weak or no signal. One symptom is that the voltage coming out of the CAS (forget which wire) is really low. Something to look at.
