Nice. Mine will be the same thing, but with an ugly weld. This explains your EWG question.

Yup, still quite a learning curve for me with this turbo stuff. My experience has been with centrifugal and positive displacement blowers.
How much can RC 550s support, 300rwhp? I've got the fuel pump and rail to support things, so I figure if I need a bit more I'll invest in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to bump the base pressure a little. |
I used flat stock and drilled a hole for the flapper nub then bent it to bolt it to the WG bolt holes on the back side of the compressor housing. Worked fine. This was on my Forester running a slightly bigger than 20G turbo.
I vice and a drill and 15 minutes. Doesn't get easier than that and is fully reversible. Frank |

A disconnected WG boost source will do what you want there ben the Can will keep it shut well into the 20 psi range or until you get a real non internal WG turbo.
Imagine a front door that opens INTO your house. Now pump your house up to 5psi. You are not going to be able to open that door. Kinda weird analogy I guess, but shows what i mean? |
