yeah i've heard of people registering their car to a PO box in weed california (basically in orgeon) and they only have to get it to pass smog every 5 years, and its the simple tailpipe thing. the only thing that sucks is i think you gotta smog it locally so i'd have to drive to butt **** nowhere to get my car smogged every 5 years. i'm a ways off of actually puttin a kit on my car, so i'll decide what i actually do later. thanks for all your help.

oh right back on subject:
it's probably easier to take it apart every 2 yrs. or make a neat sticker... I think the EO is D-267 but I forget. I never needed it since 2001+ cars have a 6 year exemption now.
