So yesterday I was using Ms droid to do sum on the fly tuning. My afr gauge has been finicky and gave me a e8 code. So I shut the car off and on. All of a sudden car wont start what the heck. So I was getting no fuel so I put new fuel pump in still no fuel checked spark no spark. And now the megasquirt wont show me any real time data. It will connect but just wont show me any data. Do you guys think I might have fried something in the board. I check main relay power on both sides. Checked power to injectors have power at injectors just no pulse. Idk why something would fry in the megasquirt plug and play 2 from just shutting car off then attempting to start again. Any suggestions/diagnostic tips? Car is a 1990 miata turbo with rx8 yellow injectors no upgraded coils or anything. Car was running decent before this hick up
Guessing you might've corrupted the firmware - somehow. Not sure how, but guessing msdroid might've done an unsafe write when you powered off. Connect a laptop and reflash, then reload your tune.

Uhg my laptop crashed that's why iv been using msdroid. How would I do that. Get my laptop to connect save tune? I'm not sure how to reflash it
To reflash firmware on an MSPNP2 - My ECU bricked on me while I was in the driveway and I could not connect.
DIY support emailed me these instructions:
First, can you try reloading the firmware using the boot jumper? To do this, you'll need to open the case and use something like an alligator clip or pull-off jumper to connect the two pins marked 16: Next, try to use the firmware loader utility in TunerStudio's Tools menu to reload the firmware. If you get an error message, please send me a screen shot. This will give me more information about what's going on.
Also be aware if you have the older board in yours, the jumper will be in a different location. The above is for the 1.3, the v1.2 jumpers are on teh bottom right
So yeah, try that, if it doesn't work email DIYAutotune customer service.

Wow thank you for the information I will give it a go in a couple days when my new laptop comes in. Ms droid says it connects but gives me no real time data. Hopefully with my laptop I can connect and at least save my tune to send out to diyautotune to take a look. Thank you for the awesome reply I appreciate it

also would firmware error like that make the car have no spark or fuel. Its definently ecu related because if I plug in stock ecu it tries to fire up (no maf so it wont run)
Asked for help, gets good response. Then questions whether the response is really any good.
C'mon bro!
The answer is yes. Yes corrupt firmware will corrupt the tune amd prevent the engine from running.
cmon bruhhh😂. I was just wondering if firmware would do that. Idk much about ecus and firmware so I was just curious. But thank you guys both for the response big help
