Hi Folks,

Do you know if your forged rods for the B6/BP Miata will fit a B5-ZE engine ((78x78.4 mm)?

I know the OEM pistons for the 1.6 Miata fit perfectly but am wondering about the rods also.

Please advise.

 

www.solomiata.com would be your best bet to finding that out. The have a whole chart on rods sizes for a good amount of engines.

Also forgot to mention that the ACL bearing kit (rod and main bearings) for the Miata also fit this engine.

 

If the pistons work, AND the rod bearings are the same then all you need to do is find out the length of the rods and if it's the same have at er.
