NB1 250whp-500whp Injectors Question

I'm wanting get some ID 1050x (1050.11.02.60.11.4 according to the Injector Dynamics website for 90'-05' Miata).

I heard the Flow Force injectors don't have the correct angle for the NB. Can anyone confirm?

I'm not sure if the ID's do, though, since their website say's it's the same product number for all NA and NB miata's.

I plan to stay at 250whp for a while, but I don't want to buy injectors twice if I later decide to build and turn up boost.

And also quick question - can I use these large injectors on a stock NB fuel rail, fuel pump, until I upgrade next yr? I assume so, as long as I tune my MS3 according to the new injectors.

1700s on E85 are enough for 500whp, for me the 1000s were not enough for more than about 400whp on E85 with conservative tuning.

Ok, thank you. What brand injectors work well with your NB?

I was running ID1700s with twin 450s but they ran out of flow. Got ID 2650's going in next with a veyron fuel pump feeding them.

Thank you, it seems I'll stick with ID brand injectors, since I have a NB.

Good luck with your fuel goals :naughty:.

One of mine has Id1050x and makes 460hp on e85. The other has ID1000 and it’s at 256hp.

Mine made 400hp on E85 on ID1000s. Idled as standard. Did between 4 and 30mpg.

I didn't tune either car so I don't have a sense of how they might perform differently. I also have not been able to drive the 460whp car very much yet as I am waiting for the new transmission to arrive.

Not sure where you heard that about flow force? im running FlowForce 640s on my 240whp NB1 without any issues for 4 years now.
this is on stock fuel rail, though with DW200 for safety as I ran e85 for a while.

Nothing wrong with FlowForce, I've even tuned their 960's on pump gas and had a rock solid idle.
If you really truly want 500whp though, you'll need ID1300x, which is the very best for that power level.
They'll even do upper 500's with proper fuel system.

that's good to know. Someone mentioned their angle isn't right for the NB's. I wasn't aware if the NA's have a different fuel spray angle than the NB's. The person that recommended to stay away from Flow Force, also said to stick with ID's...

In the hierarchy of injectors, IDs are the rolls Royce of injectors, whereas FFs are probably a Mercedes.
But then rolls Royce’s are much more expensive than Mercedes’ to match.
For the average joe that isn’t running 8000hp on methanol, Mercedes’ level is perfectly acceptable, and a step up from other injectors that are more Hyundai level.
