Default Need opinion on a wiring harness swap

so 2 days ago my 92 year was pulled out in front of and will probably get totaled. I just finished doing a 1.8 swap and building the motor 2000 miles ago. Thankfully the drive train is ok. Then yesterday I just got an 99 nb shell for free with everything but the motor and trans, but the wiring harness has been chopped. I also have a 90-93 ms2 in my car, my idea is to just use my 92 harness (and risk getting ridiculed on the internet) because it's already set up for the 1.8 motor. Or should I just say f-it and buy a new 1.8 harness and re-pin the mega squirt. And advice/opinions would be great and I'm not really worried about the time I'll have in it because I enjoy working on these things.

Where is the harness chopped? If it's in the engine bay, it may be possible to fix by buying subharnesses.

Swapping the 90-93 harness is not worth it. If you hate yourself enough to do that, you may as well buy a 99 harness on eBay and install it properly.

I mean he is going to hat himself no matter what with the mess he got. I would say getting a replacement 99 harness and the MS to match is the best way to do it.

Or get a VVT harness and do a head-swap at the same time and just get it over with.

it's cut in a lot of different places and missing a good bit, i also didn't mention the car is going To be fully stripped and caged while everything's out, not sure why running my 92 harness would cause any more trouble especially because it would only be the engine harness, the body side is going to be bare minimum and I'll probably just run basic relays for most of it. Also I'll probably end up losing money anyway even though the accident wasn't my fault, so I'm not interested in spending more on a vvt swap.

Because the 92 does not have an engine harness. It has a single harness for the whole care. It is a royal pita to separate what you need out of it.

ok yea I didn't know that, thanks. So I'll probably just repair the harness and pin out the ecu to the nb harness
