So I have been running cheap injectors for a while and they had a slight tick you can hear. But I decided to buy some better injectors from alpha injection 850cc and ever since I installed them they tick super loud. I know it’s not lifter tick cause I used a screw driver to listen to different parts of the engine and the fuel rail and injectors tick loudly. Is this normal or should I worry. They preform better than my last cheap ones

 

My FIC 1000cc injectors sound like lifter tick because they’re so loud. Not sure about yours but in my experience most EV14 style injectors lick pretty loud

 

Have flowforce 640s. Same issue - quiet on install, sounds like lifter tick now. Emailed Nigel and it seems that's pretty normal for ev14s

 

I had a set of GT500 EV14 injectors for years that ticked pretty loud. They made think I had lifter issues when I first installed them. It got even louder with the 1000cc EV14 injectors. Nothing to worry about.
