I doubt I could build it cheaper or better than BEGI or FM.

Hahahaha if I only did one thing at a time instead of twelve it would have been faster lol

We're gonna give my car about 300 miles to rattle and see what it does. So Tuesday we will know more.
I managed to get ~1/8" clearance with it rotated as far as it will go.

I know of 2 cars who cracked FM manifolds on the track. No one runs BEGi parts in Dallas, hence the massive **** talking about FM greatness and blower-whoring.

It'll probably still hit when the engine torques.

Old or new? You do know the old FMs were sourced from BEGI, right?

You will need about 1/2". I drove to Denton and back yesterday with no problems and no downpipe noises. (It was heaven) I will get more details from Hank on what he did and let you know.

So is there currently an issue with clearance on DP?

Stephanie, have people been having similar issues with the external wastegate manifolds? Not to many people on the forum have them so I don't hear much about them. Will Hank need to apply similar modifications to my new downpipe? If waiting a little longer to make sure it doesn't have fitment problems is necessary then it is more than worth it to me.

On the 99+ cars, yes. Those are the one's with issues now. I have not had any reported issues with 90-1997 cars.

Not to my knowledge.

I have to be REALLY careful about the exact placement when i install mine, but it does fit. It was tapping the floorboards when I started the car for a while, but it seems to have stopped doing that now.

I'd rather have a twin-tube DP that barely fit than an FM single-tube that fit.

My kit is great I love it the install was not easy. But, thats half the fun. I will try to influence as many people in our local club to get one a stage lower than mine so I am faster still.
