New oil return line - hangs low...

I sent this pic to Steph too but thought I'd ask for your opinions. I welded a bung on the pan while the engine is out and ran the stainless braided hose from the turbo. Problem is the line hangs just a little bit below the connection on the pan so oil will pool in the hose. I've heard this is a no-no but I don't know why. Thoughts?

throw a section of rubber hose around the line, zip tie it up onto an a/c or something after installed.

Alternatively, can you do anything about the connection to the turbo? Looks like a lot of, and long, hardware there. Something more direct will shorten things up just the right amount.

That's a optical illusion in the pic. The long thing you see is the water line port.

Mine was way too long. I cut that bitch and shortened it to find that it interfered with the power steering line. Put the motor in the car before you trim it.

Good conservative move. Hope to be putting it in in the next two weeks.

Mine is the same way, no problems.

^^mine's that way as well with no problems.

Once everything is installed, you can loosen one of your -AN fittings and twist the hose a little bit, forcing it to change shape slightly, which can help with clearances and possibly help with your situation as well.

so dont cut it, and its just fine :)

I also recommend putting the motor in the car with the head off.

I'd rather yank the head than the sway bar/brace if the motor is out of the car.

Didn't have to do that to take it out, no reason to when putting it back in.
