Is the Begi manifold with a 2.5 inch DP good for 200? I was thinking the Kraken and 3 inch was good for reliability due to getting heat out and reducing back pressure. But is this going increase spool enough that I will be at more at risk of bent rods? Or is this risk only increased with the boost turned up?

My my understanding was a stock motor is good up to about 220 wheel torque. Never occurred to me the fast spool of the smallish 2554 might increase risk of bending rods. I did learn from reading maximum boost about the smaller turbos and heat dissipation.

What is the potential of my set up with the Begi manifold and 2.5 inch exhaust?

Sorry im having a hard time searching and finding these builds.

640 is right where you want to be in terms of size - better than stock idle, and room to comfortably go to 320whp or hit your power goals on E85 if you decide to go either of those directions later.

People have done 300+hp on a begi setup with larger turbos.

Begi manifold/dp with 2554 is fine. I ran it 3 setups ago... it Will spool good and will get you to your power goal around 220-230whp.

If money is no problem, kraken manifold/dp/3" exhaust will spool better. As it's more free flowing.

A 2554 usually maxes around 240hp. Which is a good place to stop as any higher and you will have banana rods.

I say run what you have at about 12-14 psi and see how much power that yields. I'd guess 220hp.

If you want to go higher, you need rods, kraken 3" goodness and a efr 6258. Basically my setup

Proper boost control and overboost safety setting is essential with fast spooling turbo. NEVER start tuning above waste gate pressure (assumed to be 7-10 psi) without the overboost protection set.

That is one key to protecting your rods. The other is to increase boost slowly as you tune each row of VE, starting fat and removing fuel until target AFR’s are reached.
