I wonder if he'll sell me the ignition switch on the back of ignition tumbler, or his rims, or his floor mats

Lack of skill had nothing to do with driving that car off the track... it's simply that God hates red Miatas.

No, but the debate on his skill level will still rage on. The only reason he bought that car was because he put his usual track Miata into a wall at Streets of Willow last weekend and bent a control arm which didn't arrive on time to make this event. He bought this car Thursday, installed the rollbar Friday night, and rolled it Saturday morning about 11am.

Savington, want to trade cars?? Your is stunning! I just had to say that, it really looks spectacular.

And that was one lucky guy, so if there was a small bar, why did it get completely smashed? Was it a 2 point or something? I thought that almost all events make sure that you are running a good bar, I mean even though that one saved him, a better bar would have been the difference from him being amazingly lucky and him just having a bad day.

eBay intercooler, 27x8x2.5 IIRC. It's either a 27" or 28" core. I paid $80 used, you can get them for $100-120 all day long.

Savington,

Your TSI's. Looks like they are completely open. Do you have bulbs hidden inside the opening? Do you just pull out the signals for track days? Curious what you've done.

hmm very nice, I was thinking that 27 would be way to big. Are you having any cooling issues with such a large IC blocking the radiator?

Yeah, I am. I've got the stock belly pan, but no other ducting as of yet. The car will overheat a tiny bit if I do more than about 3 hard laps in 100+ degree heat on a racetrack. I suppose you could call that a cooling issue. I'm going to put a couple of ducts in so it will draw some air over the top of the intercooler. I haven't decided where to put the oil cooler yet.

The TSIs are totally open, no bulbs hidden. I have the parking lights rewired as blinkers.
