the closest i found was -3an to 10x 1.25 will that work or does it have to be 1.5?????

drftem 07-23-2006 11:20 PM

also for the stock greddy line is a -3an or -4an????i found a -4an to 10x 1.5

Sirnixalot 07-23-2006 11:38 PM

no the 1.25 thread pitch will not work.

you could use the 10x1.5 to -4an adapter with a -4an to -3an coupler...

or get the stock bolt drilled out and a -3an steel weld fitting welded on it

thank you for the information i ordered my parts now just gotta wait on them

drftem 07-25-2006 09:09 PM

i just got my pipe and the -3an wont thread on.its to small.

kung fu jesus 07-25-2006 09:18 PM

10x1.5 x -4an.

drftem 07-25-2006 09:36 PM

i ordered that also. and a -4 to -3 an daptor. so i will see when that pipe gets here it was being shipped from a different wherehouse.

bripab007 07-26-2006 12:15 AM

What "pipe" won't it thread on?

drftem 07-26-2006 02:40 AM

the -3 side wont thread onto the end of my oil feed line. so im assuming -4 is the closer size. i was told the thread size for the greddy feed line that goes to the block is -3 but its to small......

If you're talking about the braided oil hose and accessories that came with the kit, neither a -3AN or a -4AN will work. The fittings on that hose are metric. The discussion about it being close to -4AN refers to the inner diameter of the hose, but this doesn't make the crimped ends on it compatable with a -AN fitting.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has ever found a source for fittings that are comapatable with that hose, at least in the US anyway. You may simply have to replace the entire oil feed line. This was covered in a recent thread, where I gave you two links to follow. Basically, you buy the following:

M10x1.5 fitting (at block)
M10x1.5 to -(x)AN adaptor
-(x)AN hose end, hose, and another hose end
-(x)AN elbow (optional)
-(x)AN to M10x1.25 fitting (banjo preferred) for input to turbo

Where (x) is either 3 or 4, depending on your whim and the avaliability of parts.

so noone knows what the thread size is for the line i have?????? if i can find out what size it is i might be able to find the thing needed. i dont feel like replacing all when all i need is the piece to the block.

driftm, tell me how long of a -3 line you want and I can get it for you. Hillco fasteners is right next to my school and they have premade ones for -3 at whatever length you want from 6 inches to almost 2 feet! The most expensive ones are around $20. Give me a ring or ship a message my way if you want.

i got my -4an to 10x 1.5 and tried it to my oil line and it fits so now just a few more things needed.
