1000cc injectors
So, I am looking to order some larger injectors. However, 1000cc injectors don't seem to be as easy to find as 550's. According to Braineack's faq, 7mgte injectors are the same as miata injectors. Following that logic, I have found these injectors. Before I order these, I want to make sure that they will fit. If you have any other advice or suggestions, please let me know
Thanks in advance,
Wes

My ultimate goal is 400whp. This isnt going to happen any time soon but i am on my 4th set of injectors now and i only want to buy one more. Therefore, i plan on going with 1000cc to give me the headroom i need to get to my power goal.
(440 crank HP * .63 B.S.F.C)/ (4 injectors * .8 DC) = 86.6 lb/hr * 10.5 cc/min =909cc/min
I am estimating crank hp and BSFC obviously.

Did you check with our sponsor vendor Deatschworks? They have up to 1600cc injectors listed for the RX7 which should be compatible.
I like to always check with the forum sponsors first. If you find a better deal they might even match it.
Throw 'em a bone.

I am going to try it with lo-res code and see if i can iron it out. It may work if i do low impedance. If not, i will go to hi-res and get it worked out that way. Justin at diyautotune said that i would need to add resistors to run hi-res with low impedance injectors which kinda sucks but i'm sure i will be able to work it out.

Unless my thinking is wrong, both will allow me to run a shorter fuel pulse. The low impedance injectors have a shorter opening time. The hi-res code is more precise. I am still pretty new to MS so i dont really know what's involved with upgrading a mspnp to ms2extra.

true on both counts, however, as you mention above you're required to run a resistor pack if you run the hirez code. running the resistor pack essentially turns your low impedance injectors into high impedance injectors and you lose the fine control advantage.

I could always use them on another 4 cylinder build, but i've pretty much decided I would never waste my money building another 4 cylinder motor........

I've done plenty of turbo cars before, although I think a Miata would be a whole other planet. I'm happy just tearing my car apart for R&D and fitment. I always got a kick out of the engineering and design more then the drive. Its weird can't explain it. Where do you live at? I actually live in Georgetown.
On a look at the math it doesn't seem like batch makes any difference what so ever, because your just extending the injection cycle past IVC anyways in performance applications.
At first look I thought the equation had something missing form it, but it is solid for every situation. Its just hard to believe you need a 1dm^3 injector
Your idle should be around .5ms of open time. Every .1ms you add is like adding .5 ms to the stock injectors. 2.3ms 2.8ms or 1.8ms. That is a serious adjustment!
