Default Oil feed thread pitch question

I did a search and couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

OK short summary. 99 block being swapped into a 91 body.

A) will the stock 1.6L oil pressure sender fit on a 99 1.8 block?
B) Thread pitch of the oil sender and if the 1.6 won't fit on a block then the thread pitch for each unit.

Reason I am asking, one the DIY FAQ doesn't state the thread pitch of the oil sender just the thread pitch of the early block oil feed. Then on the miata.net garage there was talk about how the 1.6 sender unit had issues on the later model blocks but never stated why.

Please do not tell me to just take the stock unit to the store. The 1.6 is still in the car so it is kinda in use.

Pretty sure they're both 1/8 BSP. I think.
