Oil lines for n00bs

I'm fitting an MSM/SE turbo/manifold etc to my 99 NB track pig, but obviously this block doesn't have the oil feed fitting on the LHS.

From a search, I've found that most people obtain their oil feed from the oil pressure sender on the RHS.

I'd like to know what the ideal line size and oil restrictor is to use, generally?

What brand/type fittings & line would you recommend for good durability? It is for a track-only car that gets absolutely raped.

Do you guys use some kind of jointing compound on the fittings?

I'd be interested in feedback related to the water lines, too.

Thanks in advance! :)

I've since found some useful websites, this is a fairly basic guide on how to make a braided oil feed line:
http://www.ptaaron.com/oil-line/

This site recommends a -4AN or hose/tubing with an ID of approximately 0.25:
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...Supply & Drain

It also says that "a restrictor with a 0.040' orifice will normally suffice" for ball bearing turbo applications.

This is the oil feed on the MSM/SE turbo:

Any educated guesses as to what type of thread it is?

Take it to a fittings shop, hydraulics place or such and they will tell you exactly what it is. Its likely to be an inverted cone, but I cant see the bottom to tell you.
