both using same manifold from begi and you can see their mods at the times, looks like there is really no difference in spool time. If anything looks like the T3 60 there spools into boost sooner. 2554 went from 1750 to 3600 vs 2200 to 3700

1.8 with 2554r - No headwork

RPM Boost(psi)
1750rpm: 1.0psi
1870rpm: 2.1psi
2014rpm: 3.3psi
2478rpm: 5.4psi
2626rpm: 6.1psi
2783rpm: 7.3psi
3004rpm: 9.4psi
3188rpm: 11.0psi
3394rpm: 12.5psi
3601rpm: 14.1psi

1.6l with 60 trim- Headwork: Mild Porting, deshrouding, blended bowl

RPM Boost(psi)
2250 1.88
2300 2.46
2400 2.9
2500 3.48
2600 3.77
2700 4.5
2800 5.65
2900 6
3000 7.25
3100 8.1
3200 9.57
3300 10.7
3400 11.75
3500 12.2
3600 13.5
3700 14

I'm no expert with regards to how much of a difference head-work makes for a miata, but braineaks 1.6 with that headwork still doesn't spool the 60 trim as well as the 2554 on savingtons car as indicated at the above bolded rpms. At those rpm levels the 2554 makes almost double the psi as the 60 trim. Since i am really looking for a turbo to be responsive and scoot along, the fast i can make more boost the better. Also, i have not seen any videos of a 60trim miata so I'im not sure what to expect.

Yes, they are top feed.

like I noted the gt2554 spooled at 1750rpms vs the 2200rpms of the T3 60
when it comes down to it you need to look at what is the power production relative to the boost output on the various motors

dunno where the 750cc number came from I could sworn someone had them flow tested afterwards and were aroudn 710cc. reguardless I would of went with them since they are ev6 compared to ev1 injectors. Just I wasn't sure they fit.

I come from a turbo Sentra background, and when it was discovered that one could pull the caps off, people were doing it left and right, and usually had around 750cc. Not to nitpick, but w.e.

Anyways, would you happen to have any videos of your car or a car with a stock 1.6l and 60 trim?

For info on t3 setup, or for 2 girls 1 cup?

Either way I'm interested.

What data would you like in the videos?

No data really, just a good video of a 60 trim miata. I would like to see driveablity and how fast it spools, ect. Best video would be of a stock 1.6l because i don't plan on building my car anytime soon. Thus, one making good power, safely on stock block would be best. In-car is always great as well.
