Default Only newbee from South Africa

First of all let me say hi and tell you that english is not my home language so please excuse any spelling or other erros!!

Im a young lawyer with a second generation miata(mx5) and followed the nescesarry "do youre homework first" route but cant seem to find any information on a few things......

I am not competely new to cars since I had 2 previous miatas and in my spare time completely rebuild and import land cruisers from Australia, but would surely appreciate some advice since I've noticed a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience on here!

I allways liked the idea of FI but never ventured to the dark side....but no experience on homebrew boostin?
What I have is a special edition 99 model miata that I imported directly from japan so it has the 1.6i B6 engine and a 5 speed tranny with 80k miles on it....

What i'd like to achieve is around 200hp on the wheels or a tad under....Not a lot in comparrison with some of the monsters I've seen on here! Please keep in mind that im in Africa and not in the states with everything a mouse click away! Here you really get fucked for anything you want and then molested just to remind you youre in Africa!

Please let me know on a few things if you dont mind!
1)is the tranny and rear end on this model capable of that reliably?(cant find info if its stronger than the NA models?)
2)I'm thinking of getting the T28 bolt on kit from CX racing on E-Bay(I have a friend going over and will bring it along for me)
3)I will be getting a stage 3 clutch *** well..
4)We have a local company that makes a stand alone management called GO-TECH,anyone ever used it?(know its rather popular in the UK from what I believe, figured if its local I could be the one doing the ******* if something pops!)and wil let it be neatly tuned on the dyno by the company producing it...
5)Is it safe to boost the B6 to about 8psi and what power we looking at?
6)Stock injectors a bit stingy for this or not?

Does anyone have any experience with the CX racing turbo kit on E-Bay,the chinacharger and the overall quality of the kit and the components?

It's just like all the other Ebay kits half complete, and made cheap to be honest, just order a bell engineering kit or Flyin' miata kit or even from some of the forum sponsors IE Artech/Turbotim.... search for ebay kits you'll find all the info you'll need.

Cant seem to load a picture of my car, pitty I made a home brew twin exhaust setup almost 3" and really looks and sounds rather nice!

Any news on the tranny and rear end at about 200hp ot just under?

Please let me know if anyone is runing on this and youre impression .........Keep in mind 1US dollar is 7.3 of mine and buing a begi kit is allmost another miata, another way we get fucked down here, cheaper to wipe youre own *** with money in stead of TP........

i am actually running the turbo and intercooler + piping from cxracing, i wouldnt trust that tubular manifold, besides i couldnt use it, i have a 1.8, make sure if you order it, tell them to be sure to send you the 7psi wastegate stated in the script, they sent me a 14psi and i couldnt get on it or else id lean out. the chinacharger is working great, about 2000 miles on it and nothings wrong (crosses fingers). And the blow off valves, i wouldnt trust those either, ive been around a few, and they never really work properly... go with a synapse, they are sexy and the best, you will need a anti stall valve for it though, unless you plan on deleting your maf and converting to map. good luck.

Thanks a hell of a lot, youre info and post just sold the kit!I'll have a look at the manifold and the BOV,thinking of a HKS SSQV...at least that not a major **** up!

I have also read on the above mentioned faqs that my current injectors is milking a bull @ around 8 -10psi....Has anyone ever tried a fith injector in the intake manifold?
Just wondering since ive seen it on a few other FI cars over here, and thought why get 4 new ones in stead of just one?

The stand alone i'll be running will sort that, allready checked....

You could keep the maf and still blow out to atmo as long as the bov is before the MAF

the only way you can do that is by plumbing the maf sensor into the intercooler piping right?

Im thinking about tht option of the Bov in front of the MAF,wise choice or will it be a rapist waitng in the closet to strike.....?

As far as I konw the kit comes with a 304 Stainless dowpipe.......I'll just hook my twin 3" exhaust from that????we have no need for a CAT in our jungle justice society,im thinkig of removing it completely.......whats the thoughts on this and what size injectors would you guys get if you were in my shoes?
