The Wastegate is not recirculating anything. What you guys are talking about is venting the exhaust gasses from the Wastegate into the exhaust piping.

The reason intake By-Pass can be called recirculating is because it's recirculating the metered air back into the intake system..

Recirc is only done on the intake side of the turbo.

airbrush's car at full bore was insane. i mean i love the sound of raw motor but damn i have a long commute. my **** is quiet.

i do have a little flex section for 1.5" tube laying around though...

So the exhaust vents itself back into the exhaust?

Yes the Exhaust vents back in to the exhaust on a separated gasses set up like BEGi does..

So it is really a bypass then, cause you bypass the turbo by going from mani through WG back into the exhaust. Is bypass really not the same thing as recirc.?

Yes, a by-pass just not recirulating back in to the engine.

right I mean I know the difference between by-pass and recirc, i was just using it in the context that everyone in this thread started and I just carried it on...

I had a DTA EWG on my Forester turbo. Annoying as hell. If I didn't sell the car I would have replumbed it. You do lose some whp replumbing it. This has been shown time and time again over at NASIOC.

Awesome to 20 YOs = annoying to 40 YOs.
