I never get either one here. I'll have a multiple choice exam in a gen-ed once in a while but never a curve. I think some of my professors grade the final grades on a curve though.

What is this Calc4 you speak of? We only have up to calc 3, and then we get differential equations and linear algebra, which is a wicked easy class.

Id take a written exam any day over a multiple choice exam, especially when 4/5 answers are designed to make you feel like you got the right answer. Then you get 0 partial credit when you get it wrong, and you don't have time to check most of you answers because there is only 3 minutes and 45 seconds for each question.

Curve: When the teacher purposely makes a test so everyone will fail it, then has to pass at least 1/2 of the class.

My cal4 teacher knows not what you speak of. She failed over half the class last semester.

Is Calc 4 supposed to be Diff EQ?

That blows though. I feel for you. I'm lucky enough (study enough) to have passed all my classes thus far. But im crossing my fingers for heat transfer this semester.

Maybe we should start a, "Oh yeah well my engineering school.... so my life sucks more" thread instead of cluttering up a IC painting thread.

Cal 4 is multivariable calculus here. I'm also taking DE right now. Already took Linear Algebra. Feel free to start another thread for us all to bitch/whine/complain in.
