it might looks good, but lets hope it performs better than the last one ;)

If it goes 110K in full boost i'll still buy another. Wiescos will help, as well as Balance and blueprint.+ shot peening rods.

Won't you need an external WG to run that turbo?

magnamx-5 01-15-2007 02:23 PM

nope that is the side that mates to the chra. other side has WG and other outs. same turbo as before just this one is new.and i got the other on reserve realy dont trust it though.

Looking good, I can't wait until I get ready to tear down the heads on mine. I am planning on getting rid of any casting imperfections on the head, and installing new lifters, and just changing out all of the seals and the guides. I am still trying to decide if I should get a more aggressive intake cam.

ARP head studs are sweet as well. hell yeah i cleaned mine up as well.

tabs604 01-15-2007 03:43 PM

looking good!

your miata rolled of the manufacturing line weighing in under 2000lbs? or you removed a bunch of stuff, retained the interior and it weighs under 2k? My 91 ITA Miata weighed 2010lbs - hardtop and cage but no softop assembly, and I removed everything I could think of.

Mine was WAY more clean when it got put in;) It does look nice. Get it back in there and go dyno with me.

turbopezz 01-16-2007 11:02 PM

when i put a newer 1.6 motor,in my car the short nose crank.head had very clean casting.it looked a lot smother.on the inside and outside.kinda pissed me off a little.

so im gonna port and rebuild that head when i get board and have some extra cash.
