Default Question about this particular blowoff/bypass valve.

BEGI Miata turbo Bypass Valve - 1 3/8"

I bought this part from BEGI a while ago and was intending to recirculate, but never ended up turning up the boost enough to make it worthwhile.

So, I'm finally going MS with MAP. Is this thing able to just be used as a blowoff?

Yes, you can use it either way with speed density.

Ah, very good. Thanks!

Is this the cheapo bosch that everyone talks about in the threads on here? The one that might not hold boost past a certain level?

I'm not particularly worried about it, because I'm basically MSing my modified Greddy setup so I don't think I'll be going too crazy with the boost, but I'm just curious.

Pretty sure it is a metal housing. I'll get it out when I get home to check.

Late reveal, but it's the metal housing one.

I have more questions.

Anyone know what sort of noise this one makes? I feel like I'm still hearing the turbo air slap even though I installed this thing. I used the vacuum source that my old AFPR was using for the vacuum line.

You will still hear that.

That bov will sound like letting air out of a bicycle tire through a larger valve stem.

Okay, I guess I am pretty much done with hardware then. It's all tuning from here.
