So im looking around to find a rebuild kit for my gt28r. Where is a good place to find a reasonably priced rebuild kit? Ive searched ebay and its about 150.

I've never seen a kit like that before and I'm skeptical about it. Rebuilding a Garrett BB turbo has traditionally meant buying a new CHRA and swapping your housings over.

I've heard that some of them apparently can be rebuilt.

But I would never, ever, under any circumstances, trust the precision of an ebay kit for parts like that.

And wouldn't it still need to be balanced?

They can be rebuilt, but you do not have the tools needed to do it.
